Practice Areas

At Loyce A. Forrest & Associates, we understand that family law proceedings are often painful. We have dedicated our practice to making the process less stressful for our clients by offering the highest level of legal service grounded in our knowledge of domestic relations law, reinforced by our years of experience and tailored to each client's individual legal needs.

We understand that family law proceedings are often painful. We have dedicated our practice to making the process less stressful for our clients by offering the highest level of legal service.

The goal in every case is to obtain the most favorable outcome for our clients in such areas as:

  • the litigation of marital agreements;
  • legal separation;
  • the division of property and debt;
  • spousal maintenance (alimony); and
  • post-decree matters, such as the modification and enforcement of Court Orders.

We manage complex property issues such as business or professional practice valuations; gifts; trusts; and the division of retirement and stock option plans. When necessary, and with the agreement of our clients, we may include on our team well respected and qualified financial experts in order to provide a level of representation that is thorough and comprehensive.

We also recognize that concern about the care and well-being of children is paramount for parents. We know that each child's needs are unique, and because of that uniqueness, what is in one child's best interest may differ considerably from others. Therefore, we provide personalized legal guidance to our clients as they make decisions concerning:

• parenting time arrangements (visitation);
• parental rights and responsibilities (custody);
• child support; and
• relocation.

We understand that even though the marriage ends, the family continues; and it is important, to create a parenting plan that is workable and centered on the best interests of the child—a plan that can evolve as they grow.

We understand that even though the marriage ends, the family continues...

While we are highly experienced and respected as trial attorneys, in most cases, Colorado courts require parties to attend mediation prior to proceeding to trial. We have represented clients in hundreds of mediation sessions in which we have successfully negotiated contested issues so that a trial is not necessary.

At Loyce A. Forrest & Associates, our practice is dedicated to finding creative and practical solutions to our client's family law issues.
